Moving to a paperless way of working requires great change across an organisation, not just technological, but far more importantly, cultural. This session describes The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust's journey to implement paperless EPR which began in 2009 and the lessons they are learning on that journey. The session will review the progress to date, the key challenges in developing paperless pathways and the innovations which the new system is driving, including the process for lean pathway design, embedding of Snomed CT and benefits realisation, and explore how sometimes you need to think outside the box to truly deliver for your patients.
