NHS Oldham signs £2.68m outsourcing deal

A Greater Manchester primary care trust has contracted with Computacenter for management and support of its IT

The trust hopes to reduce costs and improve services through establishing the four year outsourcing deal. No staff will transfer to Computacenter immediately, although it is possible this will happen in future.

The deal will include an IT transformation project for NHS Oldham, which will aim to establish better use of IT and a continuous improvement programme.

Oldham co-ordinates work on behalf of all Greater Manchester's primary care trusts with the cancer specialist Christie Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust and the Greater Manchester Surgical Centre.
